Colostrum bovinum, also known as beestings, bisnings or simply first milk, is a form of milk produced by mammary glands of mammals in late pregnancy and after the birth.

Colostrum contains many beneficial substances, such as lactoferrin, lysozymes, proline-rich polypeptides, immunoglobulins and a number of growth factors.
These have substancial antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties.
Furthermore, lactoferrin provides antiparasitic and antineoplastic activity.
Variety of vitamins of B, A, D and E classes that are obtained from around 250 various chemical compounds.
